Caring for our kitties is a full-time job - 7 days a week - and we need all the helping hands we can get. Whether you are feeding the cats, administering medication, or scrubbing cat rooms, working at the rescue is a rewarding volunteer experience. Cuddling up with a grateful cat and hearing a loud satisfied purr is the tangible reward you will get for helping animals in need. Please call the rescue at (206) 526-1558 if you would like to volunteer.
While the Rescue tries to accomodate as many animals as possible, space at the shelter is limited. Kittens need a home until they are weaned and can be cycled into the adoption center to find homes. Some kitties need foster homes while they grow so they are old enough to be adopted, others need to recover from illness or injury, and still others are shy or feral and need to have extra TLC and patience to help them be more social so they can be placed for adoption.
